Role Title: GitHub Specialist

Role Type: Contractor

Location: Remote

micro1 is engaging GitHub Specialists to support a customer project focused on completing and documenting real-world workflows within GitHub. In this role, you’ll use your hands-on GitHub experience to complete realistic workflows and contribute high-quality interaction data that supports the development of next-generation AI systems.

Scope of Work

1. Complete assigned workflows and tasks within GitHub using your practical software development and version control experience.
2. Navigate GitHub features related to repositories, branches, commits, pull requests, issues, and collaboration.
3. Create, edit, review, and manage repositories and common GitHub workflows based on provided instructions.
4. Use Git and GitHub to complete common version control tasks such as branching, merging, commits, and pull requests.
5. Record your screen while completing assigned workflows and clearly demonstrate the steps taken.
6. Create realistic prompts and detailed rubrics based on completed workflows.
7. Document workflow steps and clearly explain the GitHub tools, features, and actions used.
8. Review task outputs for accuracy and alignment with project guidelines.
9. Follow project instructions and quality standards while working independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Strong hands-on experience using GitHub in professional, project-based, or open-source environments.
2. Prior Human Data experience, such as data annotation, labeling, RLHF, AI response evaluation, model evaluation, or similar work.
3. Current access to GitHub and ability to use the platform independently.
4. Comfortable recording and sharing your screen while completing GitHub workflows.
5. Strong attention to detail and ability to clearly explain technical workflows.
